The specification of L-1640 yoke plate is L-16-100/400, "16" represents the breaking load of 160kN, "100" represents the length of the coupling plate of 100mm, "400" represents the applicable conductor cross-section of 400mm², the aperture of 26mm, and the weight of about 5.9kg. High-quality steel plates are selected during production, and the surface is hot-dip galvanized, and the zinc layer thickness is ≥86μm, so it can be used outdoors.

 

The specification of L-1640 yoke plate is L-16-100/400, "16" represents the breaking load of 160kN, "100" represents the length of the coupling plate of 100mm, "400" represents the applicable conductor cross-section of 400mm², the aperture of 26mm, and the weight of about 5.9kg. High-quality steel plates are selected during production, and the surface is hot-dip galvanized, and the zinc layer thickness is ≥86μm, so it can be used outdoors. It can be used in power lines to connect various electrical equipment and conductors, such as connecting insulator strings and suspension clamps. It not only stably and reliably transmits mechanical force and electrical load, but also is an important connection component in transmission lines.

 

L-1640 yoke plate is suitable for high-voltage lines of 220kV and above. The 160kN breaking load can withstand extreme mechanical stress in strong wind areas and heavy ice areas. The tension distribution of double-split conductors or multi-split conductors is suitable for the five-hole structure to flexibly adjust the split spacing. As the core connector of the corner tower tension string, it disperses the lateral load generated by the conductor corner and prevents the insulator string from shifting. Different hole diameters are suitable for mixed specifications of bolts, and can be installed together with different hardware. Double split conductor + large span, five-hole structure is suitable for split adjustment, which is why the L-1640 yoke plate has a wide range of applications.

 

When using the L-1640 yoke plate for a long time, some faults will be encountered. When a fault occurs, the cause should be analyzed:

Overload fracture

When the actual use load is greater than 160kN, the main body of the joint plate and the surrounding area of the connection hole will tear and fracture;

Fatigue crack

Long-term exposure to alternating loads will cause metal fatigue, and radial cracks will occur at the edge of the bolt hole;

Anti-corrosion failure

The hot-dip galvanized layer is rusted by wind and sand wear, which can reduce the tensile strength;

Bolt stuck

Bolts are more likely to rust due to their small diameter, and special loosening agents are required for disassembly;

Insulator string detachment

The connecting pins are loose, the insulator string is offset, falls, and cannot continue to work.

No matter which fault occurs when using the L-1640 yoke plate, it must be handled in time to achieve the actual effect.

 

After use, or when the L-1640 yoke plate fails and needs to be removed, what should we do?

Power off

Contact the relevant power department, explain the reason, and cut off the line power supply with an insulating tool;

Bolt removal

Use a wrench to loosen the bolts. If it is a double-wire system, remove the auxiliary hole first, and then deal with the main hole;

Insulator string separation

Fix the insulator with a special clamp, and remove the connecting pins of the bowl head hanging plate or the U-shaped ring in turn; ‌

Joint board sanctions

After confirming that the connection is released, move it out of the installation position smoothly.
