Vibration dampers are primarily used to eliminate resonance caused by natural vibrations in transmission lines. Attached to the suspension points of transmission towers, they attenuate vibration energy, thereby changing the line's sway frequency and reducing vibration. High-quality raw materials are carefully selected during production to ensure high strength, resistance to deformation and breakage, and long-term durability. The surface is hot-dip galvanized for enhanced oxidation and corrosion resistance. This superior quality stems from sophisticated production processes. High-precision automated equipment, rigorously manufactured, ensures that dimensions, precision, and stability meet user requirements. Furthermore, vibration dampers are easy to install and easy to use, even for first-time users.
There are many types of vibration dampers available on the market, each with its own unique features. We have found that the symmetrical cylindrical hammer head and steel strand design is the most popular due to its simplicity, low cost, and dual natural frequency vibration damping, resulting in superior performance. When the conductor vibrates, the hammer head lags behind the conductor due to inertia, and the steel strand generates a counteracting force that offsets the vibration energy, reducing the amplitude by over 80%. The aluminum-clad steel pre-twisted wire evenly distributes the grip on the conductor, reducing stress concentration. Suitable for transmission lines 110kV and above, but prone to rust, the zinc coating integrity requires regular inspection.
An introduction to the application range of Vibration Damper, using high-voltage transmission lines as an example:
Lines below 110kV
For spans ≤120 meters, suspend 1–2 shock absorbers per phase conductor, suitable for small-section conductors.
Lines 220–500kV
For spans 150–300 meters, select a shock absorber based on conductor cross-section, with 2–3 per phase conductor.
UHV ±800kV lines
Large conductor cross-sections and high tension require higher Vibration Damper. Pre-twisted wire provides uniform grip to prevent conductor damage, and damping wire can be used to enhance the effect.
Many users have given Vibration Damper the appealing name of "safety guards" for transmission lines. Their design takes into account mechanical performance, environmental adaptability, and intelligent requirements. The integration of new materials and technologies has further improved reliability and cost-effectiveness by embracing lightweight and intelligent design. Without a Vibration Damper, you're playing rogue and playing with your life! When purchasing, you need to comprehensively consider the conductor parameters, environmental conditions, and cost-effectiveness. As a professional manufacturer, we look forward to your consultation and are very happy to serve you.
